Fraunhofer ISC's Center of Device Development CeDeD offers full scope of expertise in scientific development, planning, design, and construction of research systems and test equipment for LAB 4.0 with focus on digitalization and digital work flow. CeDeD develops prototypes, demonstrators and pilot plants for the manufacturing and processing of innovative materials and of research instruments used for process control at the end of the value-added chain. The Fraunhofer Translational Center Regenerative Therapies TLC-RT develops tissue models as an alternative to animal testing. This involves establishing scalable manufacture processes and engineering technical prototypes and developing biological (vascularized) implants. Therefore, besides accelerating cost efficient drug development, TLC-RT promotes the 3R principles.
